I'm using affilliate links from time to time. I wanted you to know.

I realized that I used an affiliate link in my blog post yesterday about building niche sites without telling you. As a former newspaper reporter, I couldn't live with myself without posting about it.
A full disclosure policy is included in the footer of my blog. But, for those of you who don't scroll past the newest post, I thought you should know. And, for the newbies, an affiliate link is a link to a site to which I'm affiliate meaning I get paid if you sign up at the affiliate site or buy something.
I started including advertising and affiliate links in the sidebar of this blog this past summer. After all, this is a blog about making money and working from home. My newest interest, making money off my own sites is spilling into this site. But, at the same time, monetization isn't my main goal here.
The affiliate links are for services I already use or have used or just generally like and support. For example, yesterday I included my affiliate link for HostGator when talking about setting up hosting for my new sites.
From time to time I'll use these affiliate links. Sometimes I'll spell out for you it's an affiliate link, other times it will be obvious. Hope you can deal with it.
